I tried one, and...well, they weren’t nearly as good as the ones we had yesterday!

This morning Biscuit joined in on our resupply shuttle, so we each only had to pay $10 to have three days of food shuttled to us on Wednesday. However, I weighed my pack, and it still weighed 33 1/2 pounds! Though, Dusty said she thought the scale was off because she weighed her pack at home and her’s weighed 2 pounds heavier here. I do know I am packing more food weight at this point, as I am eating more.
Sure Foot, Dusty, and I were shuttled back to the trail at 9:30. We started out with a bunch of downhill. It always takes my vision a bit of time to adjust to the trail, and it’s definitely more of an adjustment going down hill.
We ended up on a road to cross over the New River.

Back on the trail we came to a spot where you couldn’t drink the water, but there were wild strawberries.

We didn’t have too many miles today. We had planned to go further, but Hippie said Rice Field Shelter was an awesome place, so we decided to go there. He was right.

We cooked our dinner at the shelter. The new meal of Stove Top Stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and dried cranberries was delicious!
As we were finishing, Biscuit and Roo Dog arrived. Biscuit made a fire. She brought hotdogs with all the condiments, and chips! Of course we had one!
Yum!
Biscuit brought Roo Dog a new bed. She crawled right in, and went to sleep.

So, an awesome day on the trail, fun to have other hikers, and especially great to have Dusty hiking with us!
